Overview
Patrick joined Richard Buxton in 2022 to work across all areas of the firm’s practice.
He qualified as a barrister in 2017 dealing with a range of public, private and criminal law and gaining specialist experience directly relevant to UK environmental and planning law . Pre-qualification he spent 2 years at a leading solicitors’ firm and was given significant responsibility to progress complex judicial reviews and other public law casework including inquiry and inquest work.
He takes pride in working on difficult cases, helping clients access environmental justice and challenge decision making by public bodies. After leaving self employed practice, he worked in local government as a Principal Lawyer on a range of planning law and environmental law judicial and statutory reviews. He has wider understanding of governance issues, licencing, public health investigations together with enforcement action.

Personal Interests
Patrick loves trekking and spending time with his young family. He recently spent time in Nepal looking at mountains that he will never climb.
