Careers

We do interesting, cutting-edge work. We like meeting bright people who share our ethos of using the law to make a difference to the well-being of the natural and human environment. Sometimes there may be a "fit" on a short or long term basis but presently we do not have vacancies for qualified or support staff.

That said, the situation is continually under review and in case you might have a long term interest in the possibility of working with us you are more than welcome to make contact (best to email Richard Buxton with a CV) and perhaps meet if you are in Cambridge.

Current vacancy:

We require a very reliable, intelligent office junior to help our team in their environmental law efforts!

The work will involve making bundles of court documents, filing, archiving, scanning, general admin and liaising with clients, as well as trips to London to issue cases at court. Attention to detail is essential, and the ability to stay calm under pressure will be invaluable. There will be plenty of scope for learning all about environmental law and also potentially for career progression, but this is not a short term work experience role - we would expect the ideal person to commit to supporting our team enthusiastically from the administrative side. We want someone who will stay with us for a good while. We always have lots to do, so we will also find other jobs to suit the particular personality of the successful applicant, but a good solid base of careful and meticulous administrative skill is our primary need.

Do please get in touch as soon as possible if you think you may be suitable for this role. We will be interviewing in February with a view to taking someone on in March.
